The different types of computers are studied, as well as the different types of users and the typical tasks they perform. Although interacting with computers using a GUI (Graphical User Interface such as found within the Windows operating system) system is very common, there are some tasks that can best be done using a command line interface, such as MS-DOS, and these two different types of interfaces are compared and suitable tasks identified for each.
